1) What gets you most excited about wine?

For me it's the stories behind the wines - the people, the places, the history. It makes what's in the glass all the more special. 

2) Do you consider yourself an Enthusiast? Connoisseur? Recreational? Other?

I started as a wine enthusiast, but in the last several years it's definitely transitioned into a profession as well as passion. I'm grateful that the two have intersected!

3) What do you look for when selecting new bottles to try?

Most of the new bottles I try are based on my travels, but otherwise, I start with my favorite regions and then go from there. 

4) Are you loving any particular varietals lately?

Dry Riesling has been my go-to during shelter in place. I've loved exploring it from a variety of different regions and producers. And I'm always a big fan of Cab Franc and anything from the Rhone.

5) What experience cannot be fully enjoyed without the right bottle of wine?

I love coming together at the table with food and wine, whether that's at home or with people I've just met while traveling. It's led to some of my most memorable experiences and greatest friendships.
